I am originally from Naantali, Finland, but I moved to England 14 years ago.
I have worked as a travel guide in England for the last six years and before moving to England I worked for two years in the hotel and restaurant business on Gran Canaria. Before transferring to the travelling industry I worked as a model and professional dancer.
My long experience from the restaurant and hotel business and the entertainment industry, my strong interest in history and architecture, and my desire to work with different people are the things that made me train to become a travel guide. I have completed the demanding Blue Badge Guide degree, which is the official vocational qualification for official travel guides in Britain, and the industry’s most respected testimony of professional qualifications.
As a Blue Badge guide I know London from the inside out – I know all its famous landmarks, such as the Tower of London and St. Paul’s Cathedral; I know London’s museums and art galleries, superb markets, pubs, and places where to shop. I know London’s secret pearls, special city blocks, and London’s colourful folklore and traditions.
I have lived outside of London and done trips across Britain, which allows me to offer guidance all over Britain: York or Liverpool in the north all the way to Devon and Cornwall on the south coast.
I can plan a visit according to your specific wishes, whether your visit lasts a week or just a couple of hours: with bus or by walking, following famous streets or popping in on lesser-known alleys. I can tailor the guidance to the exact form that you wish. I am enthusiastic, energetic and I have a sense of humour – I want to make sure that everyone makes great memories on the trip.
Welcome to London and Britain, I would love to be your guide.
